All test centers offer equal conditions for fair TOEFL examination and the same cost for the test. In 2017, the cost of TOEFL exam in Nigeria is $180. As you know there are two types of TOEFL testing. All test centers offer the online version of the exam, except Aba, where you can only take TOEFL paper-based test.
The closest date of TOEFL test is the 16th of September, 2017 in Jos city. The latest date that is open for registration is the 24th of February, 2018 in Port Harcourt city. Asaba and Lagos offer the most dates to pass TOEFL test, while Aba and Jos have do not have a lot of dates available. How to Register for the TOEFL iBT Test.
As you can see on the list given above, there are only a few cities in Nigeria that offer the opportunity to take TOEFL test. So before you plan to take the test, you need to make sure that TOEFL iBT test is offered in your city or in any city close to where you live.
You need to register online prior to the testing date, walk-in registration is not allowed. The test centers are well equipped and also suitable for disabled people to pass the test if there is such kind of need.
There are three ways to register for the TOEFL test. You can do it online, using your phone or by email. The online and phone methods of the registration are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Note that only VISA cards are accepted in Nigeria for payment. Do not prolong the registration and payment processes as late registration will cost you an additional fee of $40. The registration closes 7 days before the test begins. If you choose to mail your document to the main TOEFL test office, be sure that the office received your documents 4 weeks prior to the test date.
Requirements of Registration.
Before you move to the registration part, you have to prepare all the documents needed. You will be required to provide identification (ID) information. Your ID should be original, valid, government-issued, with a recent photo on it. If you are under 15 years old, there should be at least one parent who accompanies you to enter the test center. Test takers are obliged to bring ID to enter the test center, otherwise, they will not be allowed to take TOEFL exam.
If you need to cancel your registration or reschedule it, you can do it 4 days before the test starts. If you do it later, then there will not be any refund. 1. English Everywhere, English 24/7 – Make sure to use English every day for daily communication, find a friend to practice with and improve your speaking skills, which are essential for passing TOEFL test.
2. Write from scratch – The writing part is very important to work on since you will be required to write an essay during the examination. For this reason, you can make notes by yourself, write essay on different topics or find a pen-pal friend! Your goal is to build the correct grammar and sentences and use new words or expressions in your essays.
3. Read books, become a book – If you feel that your weak point is reading, then the best way to improve it – reading. It sounds simple as it should be.
